Tribute to Wesley

In 2004, I lost my husband Wesley to a rare lung disease after he received a double-lung transplant at the age of 35. On the four-year anniversary of his death, today's show pays tribute to the man with whom I shared my life and our son. He taught us the greatest lesson through his strength and courage in the face of adversity and sorrow: Win or lose, live or die -- always do your best. 

Today's guests include Judge Morris (Judge is his first name) who had a successful double-lung transplant and Allyson, our trustworthy and favorite nurse will talk about being in charge of yourself and your loved ones when facing serious illness. My son will also join the show. He decided he wanted to be on the show and I told him he could change his mind at any time. His reply: "NO WAY! You're not talking me out of it!"

Although our outcome was not what we hoped, there are thousands of people who have gone on to live healthy and enriched lives through the gift of organ donation.
