David Rothschild, author of Earth Matters, is an explorer for and of our planet. He has crossed continents and visited places most of us will never see. In his exploration, Rothschild has considered what is needed in order to improve the health of our planet and how kids can get involved. His book is a striking effort for children to learn from, made from recycled products. After reading Earth Matters, I decided to involve the kids in our community in an Earth Matters Challenge. Three children in our community were selected to make a change in their home with the commitment and permission of their parents. The entire family will contribute to the change in their household by recycling, conserving energy or replacing toxic cleaners with earth-friendly products.
